Introduction

We were called to a massive double-storey family home in Hillside that had not been painted or updated in approximately 20 years. Two decades of structural settling and wear had left the walls heavily damaged, cracked, and wrapped in outdated, dark color schemes that made the spacious landing area feel small and enclosed.
The Main Challenge
This comprehensive 9-day project required a deep multi-surface restoration before a single drop of final paint could touch the walls. The primary challenge layout was two-fold. First, multiple sections of the upstairs plasterboard had suffered structural degradation and needed complete replacement and seamless skimming. Second, the landing area featured an intense, dark chocolate brown feature wall. Transitioning from a very dark brown base to a crisp, luminous white requires expert execution; otherwise, the dark undertone will bleed through, turning the final white wall into a muddy, uneven shadow.
