Introduction
Every home holds decades of memories. This massive five-bedroom, double-storey family home in Hillside had a truly special backstory. The house was last painted 30 years ago by the homeowner himself during his youth. While remarkably well-maintained, the interior surfaces were ready for a professional refresh to usher the property into a new era while respecting its rich history.
The Main Challenge
Managing a full interior painting project for a large, fully furnished double-storey home requires extreme precision. The primary challenge was protecting the client’s extensive furniture, delicate light fixtures, and tiled flooring from any dust or paint splatter. Furthermore, the client wanted to modernize the space but preferred a warmer shade that wouldn’t completely strip away the familiar, cozy feel of the original yellow walls.

We started the 8-day project by carefully moving all heavy furniture to the center of the rooms and sealing everything under heavy-duty protective drop sheets. For the walls, we consulted closely with the family and selected a sophisticated, modern warm cream shade that beautifully captured the sunlight. Utilizing premium Taubmans interior paint, our team executed flawless cutting-in along the high ceilings, staircases, and ornate cornices, offering a durable and clean surface.
