Introduction
Transforming the front facade of a house is the fastest way to instantly elevate its market value and street presence. For this modern property in Keilor, the side walls were still in immaculate condition, meaning a smart, targeted front-only refresh was the perfect, cost-effective solution for the homeowner.
The Main Challenge
The core of this project was refreshing the faded exterior aluminium window frames. Painting aluminium with a traditional brush leaves ugly brush lines and texture marks. To achieve a perfectly smooth, factory-like finish, a specialized spray application was required. The main challenge during spray painting is dust and overspray control; we had to meticulously seal every square inch of the surrounding light brickwork and large glass sheets to protect them from the airborne paint mist.
The Golden Deco Solution
Our team began by executing heavy-duty cleaning and masking. Every glass panel and brick edge was tightly taped and wrapped in protective film. Once secured, we applied a specialized, high-adhesion metal undercoat primer to lock onto the raw aluminium. We then utilized professional airless/HVLP spray equipment to apply two flawless topcoats of premium weather-shield paint, achieving a crisp modern dark tone. While we utilized top-tier Dulux exterior coatings for this facade, we provide equal architectural flexibility using trusted premium brands like Taubmans and Haymes. To complete the makeover, we hand-detailed the gutters, fascias, and eaves with two heavy protective coats to ensure long-lasting durability.
